29 Weeks Pregnant

Your uterus is growing bigger by the day and is putting pressure on your internal organs, including your bladder. This will make the early days of pregnancy seem like a walk in the park. Remember that this phase will only last a short while and it goes along with the job of taking care of your fetus.

Weak Bladder

Don’t be surprised if you leak urine from time to time. Pelvic exercises help to prevent this from happening. Strengthening this area will also make your delivery more manageable. Also be sure to keep up on your water intake, despite your need for frequent trips to the bathroom.

Early Milk

Another side effect of your pregnancy this week is the sign of early milk. This is the first substance your baby will eat once it enters this world. The hormone prolactin allows your breasts to produce this substance to prepare for the baby. The baby is inadvertently producing the milk so that it has enough to eat once it is born. If leaking becomes a problem, consider buying nursing pads to protect your clothing. Use a good support bra if they start to feel heavy.

Sight Seeing

Your baby can now make out shapes and shadows beyond the womb. It moves its eyes as if it were watching and taking in the world.

Limited Movement

As your baby continues to grow, it has less and less space to move around in the uterus. It will be able to kick and jab, but the overall movement is limited because of the lack of space. So while you may have had a little acrobat in your tummy the last few weeks, movement will slow down in the coming weeks. The baby now measures 10.4 inches and 2 lbs 12 ounces.
