Nursing Bra
Having a baby can change a woman’s breasts dramatically, especially if she
chooses to breast feed her baby. Breasts can become heavy and sore at times.
Purchasing a good nursing bra during your pregnancy is advisable. It will
provide the extra support you need throughout your pregnancy and the experience
of breast feeding. Having a few good nursing bras, as part of your wardrobe is
essential when you are breastfeeding. Your breasts will be heavier and will
need the added support.
Choosing a Nursing Bra
It is a personal choice you must make when choosing a nursing bra that will meet
your needs. Look for comfort, adjustability, support and ease of use. If you
don’t normally wear an under-wire bra, odds are you would not be comfortable in
one now either. It is also a good idea to get at least one bra without the
under-wire so that you can more comfortably sleep in it if necessary. Some
women choose this type so that in the beginning months of breast feeding, they
can quickly and comfortably nurse on demand in the middle of the night. This
eliminates the need to prepare anything at the last minute and provides the
baby with instant access to its food source. Make sure the straps fit nicely,
too.
If you find it necessary to nurse in public, you will probably want to take
advantage of styles that offer privacy flaps. Also make sure the clasps are
easy for you to do and undo. More often than not you will be juggling the baby
in one hand and only have one hand to deal with the bra.
Today there are many choices available as far as nursing bra designs. There are
lines available now that are more stylish and sexier than the traditional, yet
functional white, wide-strapped bras.
