The association works to ensure excellence in pharmaceutical care throughout the
state. Public health is their main focus. It also works to reduce prescription
drug errors and improve the overall performance of pharmacists.
This has an emergency team in place that meets regularly to talk about the role
of the pharmacist in the event of a public health emergency. They have come up
with a fact sheet that lays out an emergency plan for Washington DC
